Learn and test methods for mediating conflict through “accidental mediator" exercises
We all understand that conflict can arise when working with people, especially during a crisis or disaster, where emotions and tensions can run high. In such times, it's natural for communities to feel stressed and challenged.
Plan C has been working across small communities throughout the Northern Rivers NSW and have heard a clear message: developing skills to manage and resolve conflict is an important priority.
This workshop is designed to build on the content from our first workshop and equip you with practical tools and strategies to navigate conflicts effectively, especially under the heightened pressures of disaster situations. This is a vast and complex topic.
This 3.5-hour sessions will focus on how you can feel empowered to approach conflict in the community with confidence, turning potential challenges into opportunities for growth and connection. This workshop will be co-facilitated by experienced mediators Julie Walker and Bobbi Allen with support from the Plan C team.
Whether you’re involved in community leadership, an active volunteer, or simply someone who wants to contribute positively to response and recovery efforts, this event will offer a basic foundation to continue your journey toward becoming a more effective and compassionate community member.
