Event description

Parenting can be tough at the best of times. If your kids are struggling, it can get even harder. No matter how things are going for you right now, wouldn't it be nice to get some confirmation that you're doing okay, and to get a few new ideas?

These fun, interactive workshops are full of insights and strategies for getting the best out of your kids. Run by industry powerhouses who support young people to succeed in the most challenging of circumstances, they'll share their knowledge, experience, ideas and tips to help make parenting a little less tough. Don't miss it.

The series runs for 3 consecutive Tuesdays, from 7pm - 9pm.

Tues 27 May: The first session focuses on how to parent in a Strengths-Based way by recognising and celebrating strengths and using them as a basis for achieving goals.

Tues 3 June: Session two looks at Respectful Relationships, including what a respectful relationship looks like and how to foster respect at home.

Tues 10 June: The final session delves into Building Ownership and Empowerment. This includes how to advocate for and with your kids, as well as how to get them to advocate for themselves and participate in decision making at home and in their own lives.

Do come along to all three if you can - the interactive sessions are not only full of excellent information, tips, and ideas on ways to have great relationships and open communication with your kids, but you also get to connect, brainstorm and share ideas with other parents.

Note: These workshops are being offered on a 'pay what you can afford' model. What that means is that you can register for free if finances are tight. There is a wonderful philanthropic organisation who has agreed to pay any remaining cost of running these three 2-hour workshops. So everyone is welcome.

(Note: You will be asked to register for each session you can attend. Sorry!)
