    Event description

Join creative art therapy practitioner Phoebe Hofsteede for a morning of nature therapy and art therapy combined at the beautiful Phoenix Sculpture Garden in Mt Glorious, where we will connect with our natural surroundings & each other, exploring our creative expression.

Together we will stroll through the beautifully designed gardens where many of Graham Radcliffe's sculptures reside, providing inspiration to create our own drawings & markings, finishing with a sharing & reflection circle afterwards.

Absolutely no artistic experience or 'talent' is required. The aim of art therapy is purely the process; journeying with nature, body & creativity.  All that's required is an open mind and curious heart.

    Phoebe

Phoebe Hofsteede is an artist, photographer, and creative art therapy practitioner based in Meanjin Brisbane - or more specifically in the Kupidabin / Samford area.

As a photographic mixed media artist, Phoebe works mostly with portrait & landscape photography, to then use as the basis of her mixed media artworks.

Phoebe has developed her style over the last 15 years through studying Visual Arts at QUT and Photography at QCA, which provided her the ability to combine her love of collage & crafting with her photography.

Recently, Phoebe has began her journey as a creative art therapy practitioner, sharing her love of healing through art. Phoebe is an advocate for mental health awareness, having gone through anxiety & depression herself for many years, and always found solace in creating.

Studying a diploma in Holistic Integrated Creative Art Therapy at the ASHC provided Phoebe further tools to understanding the psychology of the human mind, and how creative expression aids the mind-body connection in order to heal physically, mentally & spiritually.
