2026 Mt Stromlo open day!!
Targeted to ANU students interested in pursuing research at Mt Stromlo and through the Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics!!
~FREE~ for all ANU students. Includes a bus to and from the main campus, a FREE barbecue (sausage sizzle and vego options available), and talks and networking events with some of the leading astrophysicists in the world.
Talks include Nobel Prize winner Brian Schmidt, and chief scientist of the Square Kilometre Array Observatory, Naomi McClure-Griffiths.
From student talks, to networking events to a full tour of the Advanced Instrumentation and Technology Centre, if you have ever thought about researching Astrophysics or Tech at Mt Stromlo, this is the event to come to!!
This event is especially important for PhB students and future honours/masters/PhD students who are considering any research in the field or adjacent fields - this is a great way to understand what options you have available for you as well as meeting with some of your potential supervisors.
