Ladies, it's time to gain the skills and confidence to protect your home, family, and community! Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn essential skills from flood prevention to fire safety, basic home maintenance, and self-care tips during emergencies. 🚒💪

SES:

• Agency role within the community
• Home preparation tips : ladder safety, gutter cleaning
• Home protection : water diversion, make safe window covering and sandbagging

RFS:

• Fire awareness and how to prepare against risk
• Understanding fire trails
• Understanding back burns
• Understanding hazard risk reduction

CoGC:

• Who the DEMU is and what they do
• Natural Disasters on the Gold Coast
• Preparing your home and yourself
• Information and overview of disaster dashboard and other channels for information

PCCS:

• Learn how to look after yourself so you can look after others
• Learn tools on how to recognise and manage stress during and after disasters

Burleigh Mens Shed:

• Practical skills for basic car maintenance
• Practical skills around the home
• Tyre changing demonstration

The Lions Club Robina have kindly donated their time and a Sausage Sizzle on the day to make sure no one goes hungry!

And yes, we have FREE barista coffee ready to fuel your morning ☕✨! Don't forget your water bottle to stay hydrated!

We will have a child-minding facility if required where resilience building activities will be offered. (If you are bringing children please register for each child as well)
