Stronger Together: A Regional Learning Exchange for Village Halls & Community Spaces

Join us for a practical Learning Exchange for people involved in running village halls and community spaces across Argyll & Bute – a chance to share what’s working, learn from others and take away ideas for your own community.

The day will explore:

• Health & wellbeing – tackling loneliness and isolation, supporting wellbeing and building community resilience.

• Youth participation – practical ways to involve more young people in shaping and running community spaces.

• Peer learning & shared solutions – hear from community speakers, then take part in an interactive Open Host session shaped by the issues that matter to you.

We’ll also explore the potential for an Argyll & Bute Village Halls Network to strengthen ongoing peer support and learning.

Places are limited and prioritised for village halls and community spaces in Argyll & Bute. Travel bursaries are available, with accommodation support on a needs basis.

In the morning, we'll hear from:

Christine from The Nevis Centre, as she shares how they are supporting young people in Lochaber, the many things happening in their busy hall, and the challenges of running a community space sustainably.

Ford Village Hall. will talk about their experience of engaging younger people and creating activities that work for young families.

Inspiralba’s Resilience Group, will share how they’ve built a network across community spaces, around energy efficiency and resilience.

This will lead on to an open conversation: what might a regional Argyll & Bute village halls network look like? And, importantly, what practical support could halls offer each other? In the afternoon, it’s over to YOU! Our Open Host session gives participants the chance to shape the agenda and lead the conversations that matter most to them. Plus, there will be a delicious lunch from Lucy's!
