Flame Day 2025 (Fitzroy Hospice Fundraiser)
Event description
Raising funds to support Fitzroy Community Hospice
Our inaugural 'Flame Day 2025' is an opportunity to shine a light for others and raise funds to support individuals in the final stages of life. Facilitated by our Year 12 student leaders, Flame Day 2025 is an in-house College event encompassing a variety of activities that will raise funds and awareness to honour and support those receiving end-of-life care in our community.
We appreciate the generosity of local businesses, CocoBrew Express Yeppoon and Something Different, who have contributed to our fundraising efforts.
As part of our event, staff members have volunteered to take part in the ice-bucket challenge, where a bucket of icy cold water is dunked over their head if a student can score five netball shots in a row.
Our Year 12 students can be nominated to do the ice-bucket challenge for a $100 donation (no netball shots required!).
We also welcome donations of any amount to help us raise funds and be shining lights to others. Our students are passionate about making a positive impact, and we believe this project will be a powerful expression of compassion and solidarity.
