Student Futures and Pathways Key Note Speaker and Panel
Event description
You are invited to our Student Futures and Pathways, Key Note presentation and panel discussion
Moderating the evening is Alicia Darvall (OL 1989), a purpose-driven leader who has built a remarkable career across NGOs, government, and startups—scaling impact-driven businesses and championing partnerships that create lasting environmental and social change. Now leading RMIT’s Activator, Alicia brings an entrepreneurial mindset, first sparked at Lauriston, to everything she does.
She’ll be leading a panel conversation featuring two Old Lauristonians who are both new to the legal profession—but arrived there via very different pathways:
⚖️ Sarah King (OL 2022) is a recent law graduate at the beginning of her legal career.
⚖️Alex Harvey (OL 2002) recently made a significant career change into law—twenty years after graduating from Lauriston.
The panel will offer a fascinating conversation about timing, self-discovery, and making bold career shifts.
📊 We’ll also hear from Elisa Koch, Head of Data & Analytics at the AFL, and Isabelle Sijan (OL 2017)—AFL’s first Data Scientist. Together, they’ll share their insights on working at the intersection of sport, data, and innovation—and how the world of professional sport is evolving through analytics.
