Price FREE Register

Event description

This event is for secondary school students and staff who want to work together to drive change in waste and sustainability at their school.

Students will have the opportunity to hear from other secondary students about successful waste and sustainability projects they have implemented. Students from presenting schools will share what they have set up, how they run it, and how they engage the rest of the school.

Tours of Emmaunel Catholic College will be on offer at the beginning of the event to showcase their waste and sustainability projects in action, plus we will have stalls from a range of different organisations that work in this space set up throughout the event.

Our guest speaker for 2024 is Samuel Thomas, who is the founder of Sam's Spares. This organisation collects and repairs e-waste items and donates the repaired items to people in need. Samuel won the WasteSorted Award for Individual Waste Champion and will speak about how he set up his organisation, what they do and their impact on the community.

A light afternoon tea will be provided for all attendees.
