Calling all students passionate about sustainability!

Friday 7th August 4pm-8pm and Saturday 8 August 8:30am-5:30pm

Work alongside students from Curtin, UWA, Murdoch and ECU in a fun, immersive 1.5-day intensive event to tackle an important problem set in our mining backyard.

Background and problem statement:

The WA mining industry injects $150 billion into the economy and consumes approximately 42% of state water supply and 35% of state diesel to produce the essential materials required by businesses around the world. There is also a disparity between prosperity and sustainability of regional towns and their adjacent mines.

How can the mining industry support sustainable development and growth in WA which provides social, economic and environmental benefits for the region and ensures that natural resources and ecosystems remain available and healthy for future generations?
