Study Break - Wellbeing Walk for Students | Mangemangeroa
Description
Connect to Nature: Study Break at Mangemangeroa Reserve
Take a break from studying, screens and the pressures of school, and join us for a relaxed ranger-led walk through the beautiful Mangemangeroa Reserve.
Designed for high school students aged 15-18 only, this special wellbeing walk combines nature exploration, wildlife spotting and simple mindfulness activities to help you recharge during your exam study break.
As we wander through native bush and along the estuary, you'll discover local birds, plants and ecosystems while learning about biodiversity, conservation and the natural history of the area. Along the way, we'll pause to listen to birdsong, engage our senses, slow down and experience how spending time in nature can support wellbeing, reduce stress and improve focus.
There are no tests, assignments or expectations. Just an opportunity to get outdoors, connect with nature, meet new people and enjoy a different way of spending a few hours during your study break.
Whether you're passionate about the environment, curious about local wildlife, or simply looking for a chance to reset before heading into exams, this walk offers a welcoming space to breathe, notice, learn and connect.
Suitable for students aged 15-18 only. The walk is gentle-paced with regular stops for wildlife observation, discussion, reflection and nature connection activities. 🌿🐦
