Study Group at Banksia Gardens is now online!
Our Wednesday Study Group offers students one-one tutoring sessions and homework assistance.
Who we are:
Banksia Gardens Community Services have served the local community for over 40 years. We have proudly provided educational activities for local young people for over fourteen years. We are a community service leader in the City of Hume and innovators in childhood development and education.
How the Study Group will run:
Your child will meet us online in our main study hall, before joining a tutor in a breakout room for 25-45 minutes of one-on-one tutoring. At the end of this, students can re-join the rest of the group for fun activities to finish the session.
What you will need:
- A laptop or computer with a Webcam (we recommend an i5 processor). If you don't have a computer, let us know.
- Alternatively, you can use a modern tablet device with a camera. (We don't recommend using a mobile phone.)
- Internet connection capable of handling a video conference using Zoom. You will need a good signal strength and bandwidth (mobile and dongle internet usually fails)
