    Event description

How do you do the shoulder-lift, or those elegant ways to dive into the floor together and spiral up again? And what is it that makes you feel really satisfied after a dance or a jam?

In this special weekend workshop we will address both these questions. We'll work on Contact Technique, understanding a bit more about how to give and take weight efficiently. We'll use pathways to explore essential principles, having our feet taking off. Satisfying our learner ego.

For dancing we need to switch into a different, more embodied, mind-set. Nurturing satisfaction on a deeper level, by feeling connected - to yourself, your dance partners and the whole group. Developmental movement patterns and the elasticity of the fascia will give us a somatic base for embodied moving. We'll train our abilities: to sense, to listen, to let go ... exploring leading impulses as curious questions instead of demands, following with integrity. How many ways are there to say yes? We’ll find excitement in the subtleties.

And we will dance as much as possible! Beginners are very welcome!
