  • Alana Crampton

    Alana Crampton

Alana is a long standing Partner at Tavendale + Partners with more than 20 years’ experience advising farming families across the Primary sector. She specialises in farm succession planning, farm property matters, and ownership structures designed to support continuity, fairness, and long term family relationships across generations. From a dairy farm background herself, and with family deeply involved in the primary sector, Alana brings both technical expertise and genuine empathy to succession conversations. She understands that succession conversations are rarely just about land or structures, but about identity, contribution, fairness, and the relationships people are trying to protect. Alana regularly works with families navigating succession, relationship property, and asset protection in emotionally complex environments, helping create pathways that allow individuals and businesses to move forward with clarity and respect. She is particularly experienced in supporting families to address difficult issues early, in ways that reduce conflict and preserve trust. She is an Associate Member of the Arbitrators’ and Mediators’ Institute of New Zealand (AMINZ) and is widely regarded for her calm, pragmatic, and human centered approach to difficult conversations.
