Christmas at the barn! You are invited to a Christmas party-fundraiser-extravaganza for Slot 1, The Goat or Who is Sylvia? All proceeds from the event will go towards creating and running the first show for the SUDS 2025 season!

The night will include Christmas themed trivia, pass the parcel, and a raffle with lots of fab prizes up for grabs.

ABOUT THE SHOW

One of the last plays by renowned playwright Edward Albee, The Goat, or Who is Sylvia is a contemporary mix of comedy and tragedy. The play revolves around Martin’s wife, his son, and his long-time friend who discover that he has had an affair with a goat. Although the plot is sad and often confronting, as Martin’s world completely falls apart, the play is balanced with plenty of comedy through Albee’s witty dialogue and through the sheer absurdity of the situation. The Goat, or Who is Sylvia is about discovering that someone close to you (your parent, lover, or lifelong friend) has done something so unimaginable that you just don’t know how to react. It is a play that asks questions about acceptability, success, and social norms without offering any answers.
