Sugar River Rail Trail Rendezvous
Event description
Join us for our first Rail Trail Rendezvous!Â
We will start in Newport or Claremont, use the Sugar River Rail Trail, and meet at Protectworth Brewing for a fun-filled afternoon. There is no participation fee, but we ask folks to register for planning purposes.Â
Claremont participants who will be walking, running, or bike riding are welcome to start at the Claremont Savings Bank Community Center (South Street) or join those riding ATVs to start from the trail parking lot on Washington Street. The route from the CSB Community Center is approximately 6.2 miles, and the trailhead parking lot route is approximately 5.1 miles.Â
Newport participants are welcome to begin at the Newport Rec Center with their mode of recreation. The route along the rail trail is approximately 4.8 miles. Â
The celebration at Protectworth Brewery will begin at noon with yard games, food trucks, and live music. The event will end at 3:00 p.m.; however, Protectworth will be open until 9:00 p.m. that evening.Â
This family-friendly event will be held rain or shine.Â
Shuttle services will be available to bring participants back to the Newport Rec. Center, CSB Community Center, and Washington Street Trail Head Parking Area. Limited parking will be available at Protectworth Brewing for those unable to participate in the rail trail portion of the event.Â
Limited sponsorship opportunities are available. Please contact Board Chair Elyse Crossman at director@greaterclaremontnh.org for more information.Â
