Event description

Our Fall Artist Showcase features our house band led by Sonofmel in our our third of four planned Artist Showcases for 2025.

This is a free concert for all. Please come give these artists a warm, Northwoods reception. You won't be disappointed!

Planned artists for this event include:

Sonofmel: Sometimes it takes traveling far from home to find out where one comes from. After almost 20 years of wandering, from Baku to Berkeley, Anchorage to Ankara, Sonofmel brings the foreign home to the familiar, piling prodigal wanderings and fistfuls of chords into spoken word, stories, and song. Sonofmel is also a volunteer board member of The Park Theater and our Showcase emcee.

"Is it music or poetry? Talking blues? Whatever it is, it may be the most interesting folk from Minnesota since Dylan." --Keweenaw Music

Allison Dyg: Wisconsin born and raised, Dyg is a commanding presence in the alt pop/rock scene, known for her emotionally raw, boundary-pushing music. Combining edgy, experimental sounds with deeply personal lyrics, Allison creates songs that resonate with listeners on a profound level. At the core of her artistry lies a commitment to vulnerability, showing her audience that embracing life’s messiness can be empowering and transformative.

She has opened for renowned acts like Chris Kroeze and Demun Jones, and her collaborations include pushing genre boundaries with rapper Vodnik. Regularly recording in Stillwater, MN, Allison continues to refine her sound while captivating audiences with her original music. Her songs are more than melodies—they are an invitation to connect, feel deeply, and embrace the power of raw, unapologetic emotion.

Paul Mitchell:  Paul has been writing since his first play, “Batboy,” in which he starred as a spry young orphan eager to turn the Dynamic Duo into a threesome. (Quite an image, isn’t it?) And his favorite role in college was that of Mort the Elf in a children’s breakfast theater production of “Peppermint Bear in ‘Who Needs Sneeds?’” Obviously, he preferred roles that gave him a socially acceptable reason to wear tights. He lives near Hayward with his two adorable rescue beagles, Liza and Lorna.

Roger Pouliot:  Roger is a Musician from Winter, WI, who's musical journey started while going thru treatment for stage-4 cancer.  Roger plays a variety of music with a strong foundation in Classic Country.

Featured performers are subject to change.
