    This Summer make the Bondi Pavilion your choice for must see movies, with screenings of classic cinema from around the world in our theatre with Kanopy, across various Wednesday evenings.  

    Featuring the horror cult classic Suspiria directed by Dario Argento, catch big waves and best mates in the documentary Storm Surfers, and rediscover an old favourite remake Shin Godzilla from new age Japanese cinema and more. We also have a school holiday pick for families, My Life as a Zucchini.

    STORM SURFERS - 23 November 2022 at 6:30pm 

    Big Waves and Best Mates. STORM SURFERS is an epic, real-life adventure following two best friends on their quest to hunt down and ride the biggest and most dangerous waves in Australia. Aussie tow-surfing legend Ross Clarke-Jones and two-time world champion Tom Carroll enlist the help of surf forecaster Ben Matson and together they track and chase giant storms across the Great Southern Ocean. Narrated by Toni Collette, STORM SURFERS is a ground-breaking cinema experience that places the viewer on the wave.

    MARILYN HOTCHKISS’ BALLROOM DANCING AND CHARM SCHOOL - 7 December 2022 at 6:30pm

    A musical romance starring Academy Award Winner Marisa Tomei, Robert Carlyle and John Goodman that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. 

    Frank has been consumed by grief over his wife's death. But everything changes when he pulls over on a rural highway to help a dying stranger entangled in a car wreck. En route to fulfill a forty-year promise to his childhood sweetheart, the stranger shares a compelling tale of adolescent love replete with first kisses, youthful innocence and ballroom dancing.

    PARIS CAN WAIT: BONJOUR ANNE - 21 December 2022 at 6:30pm 

    Anne (Diane Lane) is at a crossroads in her life. Long married to successful but inattentive movie producer Michael (Alec Baldwin), she unexpectedly finds herself taking a car trip from Cannes to Paris with a business associate of her husband (Arnaud Viard). 

    What should be a seven-hour drive turns into a carefree two-day adventure replete with diversions involving picturesque sights, fine food and wine, humour, wisdom and romance, reawakening Anne's senses and giving her a new lust for life.

    SHIN GODZILLA - 4 January 2023 at 6:30pm 

    It's a peaceful day in Japan when a strange fountain of water erupts in the bay, causing panic to spread among government officials. At first, they suspect only volcanic activity, but one young executive dares to wonder if it may be something different; something alive.

    Packed with vicious violence, ultra-gory effects and dazzling cinematic set pieces, SUSPIRIA is a gruesomely gothic masterpiece of the macabre.

    MY LIFE AS A ZUCCHINI - School Holiday Pick -  4 January 2023 at 3:00pm 

    After his mother’s sudden death, Zucchini is befriended by a police officer, Raymond, who accompanies him to his new foster home, filled with other orphans his age. At first he struggles to find his place in this at times strange and hostile environment. But with Raymond’s help and his newfound friends, Zucchini eventually learns to trust and love, as he searches for a new family of his own. 

    Brought to life through memorable character designs and expressive stop-motion animation, the story soars with laughter, sorrow, and joy, and stands as a testament to the resilience of the human heart.
