Fun Nature Workshop for Kids of ALL AGES (yes adults are allowed)
Join us for a fun and reflective workshop celebrating art and nature! Use collected leaves and pens to create poetry and designs that honor the environment. Together, we'll explore, create, and leave behind temporary art that adds a touch of beauty to the natural space.
ALL WELCOME: Perfect for tamariki, whānau, and anyone who loves creativity and the outdoors.
Note: Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
- Discover and Collect: Explore the environment to gather leaves and reflect on nature’s needs.
- Create Poetry and Art: Use pens to craft meaningful words or designs directly on your leaves.
- Leave It Behind: Add your unique creations to the landscape, contributing to a collaborative art installation.

Facilitator:
Emma Hinton is an experienced storyteller and facilitator who transitioned from a 25-year film career to publish Finding Grace Kimihia a Grace, a bilingual picture book. She founded The Light Library, curating workshops and books to nurture fellow creatives while rediscovering her Ngāti Maniapoto roots. Emma lives in Waitākere, Auckland, with her daughter and serves as a Celebrant, sharing real-life stories. She is passionate about the power of storytelling to shape our future and well-being.
