Summer Days at Wollaston: The Church and Mission
Event description
Come and join a group of theologians and practitioners as we explore different areas of the church and mission over three weekends in February. Develop your thinking in preparation for Hope25 or simply for a new year as we consider different areas of Christian life and ministry through the lens of mission.
A series of nine seminars will be held over the 7th, 8th, 21st, 22nd and 28th of February and the 1st of March. Friday evening sessions will run from 6 pm to 8:30 pm with a break for supper. Saturday will include two sessions. The morning session with a tea break will run from 9:30 am to 12 pm. The afternoon session with a tea break will run from 1 pm to 3:30 pm. Those who wish to book all day on Saturday can receive lunch. Morning Prayer will be held at 9 am in the chapel, and all are welcome to attend.
You are welcome to attend as many sessions as you like. You can choose sessions of particular interest to you or attend all nine sessions.
Each session will involve a theological overview followed by practitioners sharing their theological understanding of the topic and how their theology works in practice within their lives and ministries.
Those involved include Rev Gemma Baseley, Bishop David Bassett, Ven Canon Rod Bower, Rev Dr Christy Capper, Rev Dr John Deane, Ven Clive Hillman, Ven Gillian Rookyard, Rev Ben Underwood, Dr Meg Warner, and more.
Full Summer School, weekend, and full-day Saturday bookings include morning tea and lunch.
All other bookings will include tea and coffee and fruit/biscuits.
