Event description

Hosted by the San Francisco Bay Area Rotary Club, Summer Soirée is the club's 2nd Annual Fundraiser. This is a 100% volunteer-driven, and all proceeds go towards local community service projects and student scholarships.

Featuring appetizers, salad, pizza, and of course, beer! This event is perfect for those who love to indulge in good food and a refreshing drink - ideal for summer. Guests not drinking will also appreciate a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.

Highlights – What to Expect:

  • Welcome Reception
  • Surprise activities hosted by the club board
  • Light networking
  • Silent Auction

Is there going to be free parking on-premise?
Yes, public parking is available in the lot adjacent to the brewery.

What is the dress code?
While we won't turn away attendees at the door for coming in shorts and a t-shirt, the dress code is dress to impress! Depending on how you feel, we recommend cocktail attire or formal attire.

Can I bring kids or someone under 21 years of age?
Yes, kids and those under 21 are welcome to attend our private event to enjoy the space or the non-alcoholic beverages. Anyone consuming alcohol/whisky must be at least 21 years of age.

What kind of entertainment should I be expecting?
In addition to the drinks and food, we will have a mingle-and-mix segment and other fun activities hosted by the club's board members.

What is the food situation like?
Appetizers, salad, and pizza will be served buffet style. Vegetarian options will also be made available.

I don't drink alcohol - should I still attend the event?
With purchase of a ticket, you have the option of choosing an alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage of your choice at the brewery! You can still enjoy the event and all of the delicious food!

Should I bring any additional cash for any other fundraisers you have?
Great question! We will have a silent auction on-site and two private drawings during the event. We want you at our event to celebrate, but the bulk of the proceeds we raise comes from the generosity of our guests during the silent auction and drawings. If you're able, we would love for you to plan on bringing some extra cash! (We'll also take credit cards, but cash is preferred!)

What are some of the projects the proceeds will be used for?
Youth leadership programs, education, environment projects, and women's health projects are the four primary areas of focus in which we currently help fund projects. For example, we provide scholarships to local high school students to receive leadership training by covering the cost for them to attend leadership development camps. We also are Adopt-a-Park partners for the Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose, where we conduct regular service projects at. Proceeds from this event will help us do more good in the local community.

I have a question still. Do you have someone I can contact?
Yes! You can contact Event Chair Claudia Bui at claudia.bui@sfbayarearotary.org
