    Event description

Sumud: Voices from Palestine is Western Australia's first art collaboration between Palestinian artists from the Naji Art Collective and Celebrate Palestine South West, a grassroots community group.

We welcome you to join us on beautiful Wandandi Boodja in the hinterland town of Margaret River, 3 hours south of Perth.

The special event creates space for insight into the rich history and culture of Palestine, anchored in the experiences of proud Palestinians living in exile. It also offers spoken word, food, music, story sharing and more.

The event is designed for discovery and connection.

Speakers include Palestinian justice advocate and Australia's youngest politician, Independent Senator for Western Australia Fatima Payman, who courageously crossed the floor to vote for motion to recognise Palestinian statehood, and Nidal El'Khairy who is the founder of Naji Collective and a contributor to the Electronic Intifada, and more.

    Exhibition opening night:
    Doors open Saturday 5pm

    Speakers kick off at 6pm
    21st September 2024
    (TICKETED EVENT)

Please note: online ticket sales close at 3:45pm on Saturday 21st September. Limited ticket door sales will be available on the night.
