Dance the Sun Down 🌅

Sun Sets is a gathering for those who crave movement that feels like coming home. Held in a beautiful indoor studio at Long Jetty, we begin at golden hour, dance the sun down together, and finish in the dark by candlelight and fairy lights. The live DJ journey moves us through a mix of ambient, organic and tribal house, electronic, tech-house and deep bass, then softens into downtempo and melodic. Dance wildly. Melt into the floor. Be still and let the music move through you. This is where the body remembers what it already knows.

Why We Dance

Somewhere in our bones, we know this: to move together is to remember we're alive. For thousands of years, people have gathered to dance: around fires, to drums, under open skies. They danced to feel connected to each other and to something bigger than themselves.

Whether you come to shake off the week, move what you’ve been carrying, meet your community, or simply feel more alive, you're welcome here.

What Is Ecstatic Dance?

A freeform dance with no steps, no teacher and no one watching. Dance wildly, stretch gently, sway, breathe, sit and watch, or simply be. No experience needed.

About the Space

Our home for the evening is Luminary Soul Space in Long Jetty, a warm, welcoming room created by my beautiful friend Avalon. She made the space affordable on purpose, because she remembers how hard it is to start out and believes in backing people who put something they love into the world. Many people have held their very first workshops there, and it feels like the perfect home for our first Sun Sets event.

By booking, you're supporting the kind of community that Avalon and I both want to see grow and be nurtured — one with more creativity, connection, and heart.

How the evening flows

The Details

• When: Sunday 29 November. Doors open 6:30pm, the dance begins 7:00pm, we finish up at 9:00pm

• Where: Luminary Soul Space, Long Jetty. Street parking available.

• Who: Adults only (18+). Just 20 spots, so the room feels warm and held

• Included: cacao on arrival (dairy-free option available, please tell us about any allergies when you book)

• Tickets: early bird $20 (limited), general $30

• Bring: comfortable clothes you can move in, a water bottle, and optionally a blanket or yoga mat for stretching or lying down. Shoes come off at the door.
  

Our Agreements
By booking, you agree to our agreements:

• No talking on the dance floor, so we can move through feeling instead of thinking

• Consent comes first: no touch or dancing directly with someone unless they’ve clearly said yes

• Substance-free: no alcohol or drugs before or during, and please don’t arrive under the influence

• Phones stay away, except for one short window we’ll announce. If you’d rather not be in any photos or videos, just let one of the event facilitators know at the door
