Description

Join us each Sunday at 2pm for a Free Calm-Abiding Meditation Session at the Sakya Temple of Peace in Kambah, Canberra.

These free meditation sessions are a great way to keep up your practice with others in the beautiful environment of the Sakya Temple of Peace. They are also suitable if you are trying out meditation for the first time.

Senior instructors will lead a guided meditation for approximately 20 - 30 minutes, as well as Buddhist prayers and a short talk on Buddhism or a related topic.

There are cushions and chairs available for use and everyone is welcome to attend. Please stay afterwards for a cup of tea and a chat!

We appreciate your donations to attend these sessions so that we can continue to offer them free of charge.

This week's session will also include a talk by Greg O'Rourke, one of our senior students, called "Path of the Householder: Integrating Buddhism into Daily Life." The talk will run from approximately 2:45pm, and we're planning to stream it live on our Facebook page for anyone who can't join us in person (the earlier guided meditation is in-person only, not streamed).
