High Tea at Nutcote 2025
Event description
Join us on a Sunday and Enjoy High Tea at May Gibbs' Nutcote, the beautiful harbourside home and garden of May Gibbs (1877-1969), Australia’s foremost children’s author and illustrator and best known today for her iconic story, The Complete Adventures of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie. Both the house and the garden have been restored so you can experience how May lived and worked at Nuctote in the 1920's.
Each High Tea* includes a selection of freshly made finger sandwiches, two of our delicious homemade scones with jam and cream, sweet treats and your choice of our range of Queen Victoria teas. A guided tour of the house museum is included. Please allow at least 30 minutes for your tour. Children can enjoy our Gumnut Tea which includes a cheese sandwich, cupcake, cookie and juice or flavoured milk.
*Vegetarian and gluten free available on request. High Tea is served on the undercover terrace.
Nutcote is open to the public 11am - 3pm.
High Teas can be served anytime between 11:30am and 1:30pm. Just check in on the day to confirm time.
