Event description

Presented by LiveArt Studio, a collective of passionate artists bonded by their love for life drawing and portraiture, the Sunday Portraits exhibition is poised to captivate its audience while highlighting the group's unwavering dedication to art and their spirit of connection and support for fellow artists and art enthusiasts.

At the heart of LiveArt Studio's mission is a celebration of life and the human form through art. LiveArt Studio organises, hosts, and curates drawing sessions that foster an inclusive environment, welcoming artists from all backgrounds regardless of their formal education. Throughout the year, these small groups of artists have collaboratively created a series of portraits. Their subjects are individuals who have made significant contributions to the fields of music, literature, visual arts, and social leadership in the Swan community. The artists not only refine their craft but also establish profound connections with their subjects.

Sunday Portraits features artists David Leith, Stephanie Sheppard, Behzad Alipour, Robert Darbourne, Imogen Murljacic-Ivachenko, and Zoe Wells. Their commitment to portraiture and figurative art is expressed through diverse mediums, including drawing, painting, and sculpture. David Leith, a founding member of LiveArt Studio, sees this showcase as a symbol of their dedication to connecting with one another, embarking on life's artistic journey, and extending an open invitation to anyone interested in exploring art without constraints. In the words of David Leith, “…this collective embodies the ethos of ‘Drawing without Licence’, encouraging all to embark on their artistic journey without limitations.”
