Somatic Dance is a guided free form embodied movement journey, held in a non-judgmental space where all of you is welcome.
No prior dance experience is necessary and all bodies are welcome.
Come and move your body to the rhythm of your soul, ready to deepen your connection with yourself and others.
The guidelines are simple: No booze (or intoxicants), shoes or talking in the dance.
Slip deep into the layers of your body, supported by a carefully chosen epic music and a beautiful group of humans.
Fully embody your truest expression, release debris and allow movement to show you your fullness.
Wear clothes you are comfortable moving in (layers are great), bring a drink bottle and a drop or two of curiosity!
See you on the dance floor for the most epic way to start your day and leave the dirt behind

Cash on door $20Your teacher is Jody Brown, a woman dedicated to the path of the heart and the embodiment of our humanity and connection for the purpose of discovering our own rich and deep authentic truth and freedom.
Jody has spent years in embodiment and inquiry practices and has been teaching yoga since 2012, has trained in Somatic Therapy, Zenthai Shiastu, Somatic Dance and is learning from her great teachers, LIFE and her heart as she goes and grows.
You may like to bring a blanket to begin and end with and a water bottle
We are located at the Thames racecourse at 509 Parawai Rd.Enter off Parawai Rd just opposite the Booms Rest Home and before going over the hill to the Kauaeranga Valley. You will see a cottage on the right and the Racecourse. Turn in to the drive along Edgar Clark Drive. Our studios are in the building attached to the back of the grandstand. Parking is available , however please respect that the grass can get very mushy when there has been a lot of rain so best to park on the higher ground on the left as you come up the drive. There is also parking on concrete below the grandstand or beside the stables.
