Sunday Sounds: Juneteenth Celebration w/ Memphy, hosted by NYSocialbee
Event description
Booked from the club to the rave to the afters before jetting off to walk mugler in paris or open for beyonce's renaissance tour in phoenix, memphy takes dancers on as glamorous and high-energy journeys with her eclectic, trance-y techno sets. the n.y.c. native made her dj’ing debut at age 18 at the gucci store in soho. half a decade later, memphy has become the princess of the brooklyn techno scene. recent gigs brought her to miami—where she played domicile and opened up for eartheater (@moma’s art basel party)—to mexico city, headlining club95 with local legends villaseñor and kodemul, brooklyn for ladyland festival, and manhattan, where she handed off the decks to idris elba at a party for gucci’s new store.
coming of age in nightlife in the summer of 2020—when the rave was the only party—memphy brings the rebellious energy of the underground with her as she breaks barriers in the worlds of luxury fashion and international techno. according to honey dijon, memphy is one of the young, trans artists “making space, unapologetically and fiercely."
