Cassie and Maggie MacDonald are a sibling folk music duo from Nova Scotia. Maggie sings lead vocals and plays piano and guitar, while Cassie sings harmony vocals and plays fiddle, and both sisters step dance.
With over 17 combined Canadian Folk Music, East Coast Music, and Music Nova Scotia awards and nominations, this JUNO-Nominated powerhouse duo’s recent release, ‘Gold and Coal,’ is an album that bridges the traditions of their Celtic heritage with a striking modern edge.
