Co-hosted by the City of Bayswater
Join comic maker Dandelion Chambers for a series of FREE comic making workshops!
You will hone your skills to create your own original comic to be published in the brand new Sunset City Comic Anthology, debuting as part of the 2026 Perth Comic Arts Festival hosted at the State Library of Western Australia on July 26th.

🗓 5 Monday Afternoon Sessions
May 4th: 4 - 6pm
May 11th: 4 - 6.30pm
May 18th: 4 - 6.30pm
May 25th: 4 - 6.30pm
June 8th: 4 - 6.30pm
Please note that this is an on-going workshop series and it is essential that participants attend each session to experience the whole mentoring process and complete their project.

ABOUT DANDELION
Dandelion Chambers is a non-binary comic creator and illustrator who is drawn to character-focused stories around queerness, personhood, robots and magic.
They’re currently developing their first graphic novel Beholden, a fantasy about cursed fabric and secondhand goods.
Dandelion is from Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia, where they’re also part of the Perth Comic Arts Festival organising committee.
ABOUT MILKTOOTH SCHOOL OF ART & STORIES
The Milktooth School of Art and Stories is a children’s studio that provides high-quality term long courses and school holiday workshops that are designed to inspire and empower.
Local artists Elizabeth Marruffo and Campbell Whyte founded Milktooth in 2015 with the aim to create the art school they wish existed when they were children.
Milktooth has now grown to be the largest dedicated comics school in the country, with over 600 students taking part in comic-making workshops each year and hundreds of comics printed as a result.
