Sunset Concerts: Ken McGorry & The Achievements

Ken McGorry & The Achievements trace their history back in 1972 when Ken joined The Meade Brothers as a trio. They emerged out of the Bronx in 1973 as a full blown band. They played clubs all over Long Island including The Camelot in Mineola. By 1979, Ken was leading his band and writing songs of his own in addition to appearing with The Meade Bros and the Gabis Brothers.

Ken McGorry and the Achievements' studio and live recordings from the early 70s and 80s include Buenos Noches Cockroaches, El Dorado, Who Do You Love, Curacao and See This Through. His studio recordings from mid-80s to present including: You Are the One, She Changes Everything, Whenever You're Around (with Shannon Rae), Touch Me Again, In This Pocket and new songs: Never Let a Day Go By and I Admit It, I Did It.
