Superstars Community PCW - June
Event description
Body Safety Australia is committed to a whole of community approach to preventing childhood sexual abuse (CSA) and to support children in enjoying healthy, respectful relationships now and in the future.
This means empowering and working with not just children, but the adults in their village: from parents and carers to wider families, to friends, to community members. Since 2015 we have facilitated workshops to parents and carers through centres, schools, and councils accessing our SuperStars program. We're excited to announce that in 2025 we will be expanding these workshops to anyone who would like to attend.
If you, or someone you love, would like to learn tangible strategies to help prevent CSA in your communities, this two-hour practical workshop empowers families with safety tools that can be used within the home, school and community. Following a storytelling approach, we will cover the key statistics regarding CSA, common patterns of grooming and abuse, preventative strategies for you and the children in your village, and information about responding to disclosures. You will leave the workshop better equipped to protect and empower the children in your village through a range of printable interactive and creative activities.
