Act are offering the nationally-accredited Mental Health First Aid
training alongside the Workplace Wellbeing Check-in.
Mental Health First Aid is the nationally accredited training for individuals and teams to be able to effectively respond to mental health issues.
You'll learn how to:
+ Recognise common mental health issues
+ Provide initial help using a practical, evidence-based Action Plan
+ Respond in a Mental Health crisis situation
+ Seek appropriate professional help
Online Mental Health First Aid is available for free (normally $330) thanks to Support Act.
This training is designed for those who work professionally in the music industry.

You will receive:
+ A Mental Health First Aid Manual (online or via post)
+ Access to the Mental Health First Aid Australia eLearning training (approx 6 hours)
+ Two Live Online Workshops with expert facilitators (two 2.5 hour online workshops)
+ A Certificate of Accreditation (if you complete all the components)Â

Sound good? Here's how to get involved:
1. Book your spot (Select the dates/times you would like participate in the two Live Online Workshops and if you want a Hard Copy and Digital Manual, or just a Digital Manual)
2. Complete your Self-Paced Online Learning (We'll email it to you 2 weeks before your workshop starts)Â
4. Attend your two Live Online Workshops (2.5 hours, 1 week apart)
5. Complete your Accreditation Assessment (15 multiple choice questions)
6. Receive your Certificate of Accreditation (Valid for 3 years)
 All participants receive access to the digital copy of the manual.
About the Trainer: Caitlin Marshall is an experienced trainer and facilitator. She holds a Certificate IV in Teaching & Training. Caitlin has been a teacher and trainer in Community Services, Domestic Violence and Vicarious Trauma. She co-designed MakeShift: Creativity on Prescription, a program that is pioneering alternative mental health support in NSW.
MakeShift is an education and support agency committed to creativity and mental health. In the past 7 years, over 10,000 people have taken part in over 300 workshops. MakeShift has worked with organisations like Atlassian, Quickbooks, Hub Australia, AAM and AMP.Â
