Event description
We welcome you to join us for this exciting workshop.
Support Students with Down syndrome: An Occupation Therapist Q & A
This workshop provides school staff with practical, realistic strategies for supporting students with Down syndrome across everyday classroom contexts. Through an open Q&A with an Occupational therapist, we'll explore how to:
- Respond to emotional and sensory regulation needs
- Strengthen fine and gross motor skills through achievable routines and activities
- Embed effective, low-prep brain breaks into the day
- Understand how developmental needs impact learning and engagement
- Build confidence in knowing when to adapt tasks, and when to seek further support
This is also a space to ask the real questions. Please take a few minutes to complete our short pre-session survey - your responses will help us tailor the session to your questions, challenges, and what matters most in your classroom.
