Supported Decision Making for Families and Close Supporters - 10 April
Event description
Our free workshop is for families, friends and peers of people with intellectual disability.
The workshop is about supported decision making – a way to put the person with intellectual disability at the centre of their decisions and their life.
In this workshop, you will:
- Explore how to support a person to make decisions to be who they want to be and do what they want to do
- Reflect on real challenges – like taking risks and making mistakes
- Develop a personal, positive and practical vision of supported decision making
You will share and grow through open discussion and collaborative activities with people like you. The workshop is co-facilitated by a person with lived experience of intellectual disability.
