This is the continuation of the popular introductory workshops delivered by Alice Kleinig in 2024, with a focus on specific learning difficulties (SLDs), such as dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia, which impact on how a person learns in a specific learning area such as reading, writing or maths.

Through this workshop you will:

Develop your understanding of learning difficulties and disabilities, and the Disability Discrimination Act
Learn about different strategies for supporting learning, organisation and time management of learners with SLDs, and positive communication
Identify suitable adjustments and accommodations for assessment
Be introduced to technologies to support student success.
