Join Melanie Turner and Dr Miriam Kirby as they share their insights, experiences and passion for supporting Autistic women in therapeutic settings.
This online seminar will provide information on the following topics from a neurodiversity-affirming lens:

- Navigating Family Relationships
- Perimenopause & Menopause
Throughout the session, Melanie and Miriam will lead discussions on a range of topics related to the shared experiences of Autistic women and provide insights on how to support these clients in a way that honours their autistic identities. The information in this training is tailored towards allied health and medical practitioners.
As part of your registration for this event, you will receive a certificate of participation for CPD purposes as well as access to the Virtual Event Hub. The Virtual Event Hub will be accessible to attendees a week before the event, more information will be sent to ticket buyers closer to the event.

Meet Your Presenters
We are an Allied Health clinic located in Borloo (Perth), Waylyup (Fremantle) and Naarm (Highett). We provide a range of evidence-based assessment, therapeutic, supervision and training services from a neurodiversity-affirming framework; honouring and listening to lived experience voices. At The Kidd Clinic, we value providing neurodiversity-affirming care and recognise the importance of sharing this knowledge with others in the community.
About Miriam
Dr. Miriam Kirby is a clinical psychologist passionate about supporting and affirming neurodivergent individuals and their families. Her role includes
providing therapeutic support and treatment of co-occurring mental health conditions to individuals of all ages. She also provides adult autism assessments, parenting support and problem-solving sessions, and enjoys helping like-minded people connect through
small, interest-based groups.

About Melanie
Melanie Turner is an endorsed Counselling Psychologist, Principal Psychologist and Clinical Operations Lead at The Kidd Clinic. In her 17 years of practice Melanie’s work has included university settings, not-for-profit community organisations, custodial, and private practice settings. Historically, she has worked across all areas of mental health and has vast experience with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, emotional regulation and more. Melanie has a deep understanding of the nuances that come with supporting autistic and ADHD folk, especially those with late diagnoses. Melanie collaboratively supports clients to achieve resilience and well-being and is a passionate Mindfulness and Self-compassion practitioner.
