About the Presenter:
Amy Hecker OTR/L, CASDCS
Motor Lead for the Kyrene School District
"I have been an OT for 27 years with the majority of that time spent in the area of pediatrics. I am currently the Motor Lead for Kyrene as well as a member of the PS evaluation team and a treating occupational therapist working in a cross categorical behavioral sensory classroom. I have worked in all areas of pediatric OT including Early Intervention, outpatient/inpatient and private practice as well as various school districts. I have a passion for working with our preschool and elementary students, especially those on the autism spectrum. I love presenting on the topic of sensory processing as well as anything OT related. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my husband and grown children and being part of a big breed dog rescue. My husband and I share our home with 5 rescues dogs (5 great danes and a mutt), four of which have special needs."
