Supporting Inclusion in Early Childhood Settings Using Visual Supports

Are you an early childhood professional looking for ways to increase inclusion for children who may have a developmental delay or disability?
Do you facilitate playgroups, story or rhyme time, or children's activities in the community and want to incorporate visual supports to support inclusion?
Wanslea, who partner with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to deliver the Early Childhood Approach have developed some resources to support organisations who provide early childhood groups, activities, or programs in the community be more inclusive for children with developmental delay or disability.
One newly developed resource is Wanslea's Visual Supports resource which provides practical information, tips, and considerations for organisations who want to include visual supports into early childhood settings.
The Visual Supports resource may be a helpful for those coordinating and delivering early childhood playgroups, local government led library groups, school holiday activities, or any organisation delivering other groups, activities, or programs to young children and their families.
To introduce the Visual Supports resource, Wanslea will be hosting this information session for organisations who would like to learn more about Visual Supports and how to apply them to their practice in early childhood settings. The session will cover:

- Who benefits from Visual Supports
- Why use Visual Supports in early childhood settings
- How to use Visual Supports
- Examples of ways to incorporate Visual Supports into early childhood settings
