Event description
Supporting Kids Social Skills Development- The things that work!
Proudly presented as a fundraiser for Huntsbury Community Preschool
For all parents and teachers of children aged 0-18 years.
This is for you if-
You have ever wanted to help your child feel more confident being themselves, find their tribe, make friends, keep friends, work as part of a team, navigate tricky social situations, feel belonging, understand how their brain works and find strategies that work for them as an individual OR if you have ever wondered what are social skills & why are they important. This is for parents of preschoolers, toddlers and babies too! The earlier parents and teachers know and understand social skills supports the better we can support kids- it is never too early!
What we will cover
You will leave with 3x supportive strategies that can be used to help your
child where they are at. You will gain an understanding of how social skills
develop and what kids need from us when they don't 'fit' this typical picture.
This webinar is presented through a neurodiversity affirming lens.
Can't attend the event live? No worries! The workshop will be recorded and it will be available to view for 30 days after the event. Purchase a ticket as normal and the recording will be made available to you.
Why are we doing
this?
To support Huntsbury Community Preschool. A special not-for-profit preschool on the hill supporting tamariki to thrive https://www.huntsbury-preschoo...
Talk Together's mission is to help kids find their tribe, for all kids to feel like they belong and believe they can be an epic friend & communicator. As a bunch of Speech Language Therapist's we know funding is tight when it comes to supporting kids social skills and communication. We also know so little is available to support kids, in this life changing area, in an individual affirming way. That's why we share knowledge when we can and even better when it supports a wonderful place fostering social skills like Huntsbury Community Preschool.
