About the Facilitator:

Karen Menzies (she/her) is a trans elder who moved from Adelaide to Sydney 6 years ago, and now a Learning and Development Officer at Twenty10. She has a passion to support gender and sexually diverse individuals who’ve experienced the mental health impacts of societal marginalising, discrimination and abuse. Karen has substantial experience in training-delivery and education, including LGBTIQA/Trans Awareness and Inclusive Practice workshops and Introduction to LGBTIQA Peer Work Courses. With a sensitive interest in Trans Ageing/Aged-Care and counselling, along with an increasing involvement in Trans and LGBTIQA+ networks, she is keen to facilitate and establish additional collaborative support for Queer individuals in Western/South Western Sydney, where she now lives with her wife.

Twenty10 are the NSW partner for the Silver Rainbow Ageing and Aged Care Program.
