Supporting Students with ADHD - Workshop for Teachers and Education Assistants - Shire of East Pilbara

Pilbara for Purpose has partnered with ADHDWA to deliver an Online ADHD Teacher Professional Development Workshop for teachers and education assistants in the Shire of East Pilbara.

This session will focus on practical tools and strategies that can be applied in primary and secondary classrooms.

Topics covered (suitable for both primary and secondary school context) include:

• inclusive classroom management and clever ideas for adjusting the environment

• effective approaches for behaviour management and reinforcing positive behaviour

• emotional self-regulation and critical support for social emotional wellbeing

• simple and effective accommodations and differentiation that supports a strengths-based approach

• engaging with parents to support learning
