Supporting Students with ADHD - Workshop for Teachers and Education Assistants - Onslow and Pannawonica

Pilbara for Purpose has partnered with ADHDWA to deliver an ADHD Teacher Professional Development Workshop for teachers and education assistants in Onslow and Pannawonica.

This session will focus on practical tools and strategies that can be applied in primary and secondary classrooms.

Topics covered (suitable for both primary and secondary school context) include:

• inclusive classroom management and clever ideas for adjusting the environment
• effective approaches for behaviour management and reinforcing positive behaviour
• emotional self-regulation and critical support for social emotional wellbeing
• simple and effective accommodations and differentiation that supports a strengths-based approach
• engaging with parents to support learning

Participants will be expected to attend in person at either Onslow School or Pannawonica School.

There will be a facilitator at each school who will support the Trainer with delivery of the online training. This delivery method will provide  an important opportunity for interaction between participants during the training.
