    The Human Services Skills Organisation (HSSO), in partnership with Phoenix Australia - Australia’s National Centre of Excellence in Posttraumatic Mental Health, is offering a series of free webinars focused on applying trauma-informed practice to support aged care and disability worker wellbeing. 

    The webinar series is aimed at raising awareness of the importance of worker mental health and trauma-informed care and providing access to helpful information and supporting resources for those working in the aged care and disability sectors. The first webinar in the series, Supporting trauma-informed practice and worker wellbeing: Practical strategies for the aged care and disability sectors, will explore the unique challenges of the aged care and disability services sector, as well as the individual, team and organisational responsibilities for self-care and wellbeing. It will also introduce the fundamentals of Trauma-informed Care and offer practical examples and guidance for using trauma-informed practice to support worker wellbeing in the aged care and disability sectors.

    The webinar is designed for managers, leaders and staff in the aged care and disability sectors.
