Event description

Would you like to learn how to better support women experiencing DFV in your AOD work? If you're a member of the NADA Women's AOD Network, you're invited to this training session.
This session is not intended to provide foundational or introductory content on DFV. Rather, it will be aimed at workers who have some foundational knowledge in the area of DFV and would like to learn more about supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women, in addition to culturally, linguistically and ethnically diverse women experiencing DFV.

Draft schedule
9am-9.30am: Registrations, tea and coffee
9.30am-10.40am: Antonia Ravesi, Program Manager, NADA will provide an Acknowledgement of Country, housekeeping info, introduce the session and provide an AOD lens for the day's discussion
10.40am-11am:
Morning tea
11am-1pm
: Supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women experiencing DFV. Presenter: Wirringa Baiya Aboriginal Women's Legal Centre
1pm-1.50pm
: Lunch
1.50pm-3.50pm
: Supporting culturally, linguistically and ethnically diverse women experiencing DFV. Presenter: SSI Settlement Services
3.50pm-4pm: Antonia, NADA will wrap up the session and collect evaluations

Other information
-There will be a separate room that will double as a prayer room and a quiet space that will be accessible on the day.
