    Event description

Autistic Burnout is a serious condition that can affect all Autistic individuals.

It is caused by the demands of social and sensory stresses outweighing the individual's capacity or resources to manage.

Burnout can look like and or lead to serious mental illness and can lead to a teenager self-harming or having suicidal ideation. It can take an Autistic teenager who is in burnout a long time to recover and they will need careful and sensitive support from a parent or caregiver during their recovery.

In this 90-minute Masterclass, we will explore:

    • What causes burnout to occur.
    • The signs and symptoms to look out for to know whether or not your teenager is in burnout.
    • What you can do to support them in a crisis situation.
    • How you can support your teenager to recover from burnout.

Suitable for all parents of teenagers 13 years and older.

Move through the session interactively or watch the recording afterwards as provided.

A Completion Certificate is provided to participants of the Masterclass.
