Swan Hill: Supporting Your Trans Family Member

Affirmation Station visits Swan Hill! 

Transgender Victoria is facilitating an Affirmation for All event in Swan Hill. This is part of a series of gender affirming events happening across two days.

This workshop is for parents, carers, and other family members of transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary people who live, work, or study in Swan Hill and surrounding areas.

Finding out that someone you love is trans, gender diverse, or non-binary can bring up a lot of questions. Come along to connect with others on a similar journey, share experiences in a supportive space, pick up practical, everyday ways to support the trans person in your life, and learn about local supports. You'll leave with a better understanding of what your family member may be going through and the confidence to be an active, affirming presence in their life.

About the facilitator:

Britt (they/them) is the Programs Manager at Transgender Victoria, They have a background in teaching and have been working with LGBTIQA+ young people and their families for over ten years.
