Surf Movie Night: Morning of the Earth
Event description
Surf Movie Night: Morning of the Earth
Join us for a free, family-friendly screening of the iconic surf film, Morning of the Earth, by Albert Falzon! Get ready for a classic night of surf under the stars.
This event promotes young local surfers participating in the Surfaid 'Make a Wave' surfing challenge, raising funds for families in remote surf communities who lack access to clean water, healthcare, and nutritious food.
Released in 1972, this cult classic is widely considered one of the greatest surf films ever made. It's a visually stunning look at the "soul surfing" movement, following surfers on a quest for perfect, untouched waves in Australia, Hawaii, and Bali. The film’s legendary soundtrack helped define a new era of surfing, and its themes of living in harmony with nature are just as powerful today.
Held in partnership with Blue Heelers Square and Geraldton Board Riders, this event is the perfect stress free way to spend a Saturday evening with friends and family.
