Event description
Surgical House is pleased to invite you to join us for a healthcare essentials training day. Delivered by qualified clinical educators and product experts, this day is designed to increase your skills and knowledge in the core areas of community healthcare related to NDIS, aged care, home care and complex care clients.
Who Are The Sessions For?
- Nurses
- Dietitians and Allied Health Professionals
- Support Workers
- Other carers supporting complex care clients in community settings
CPD eligible. Certificates can be provided.
The day will be organised into three sessions with two presentations per session with networking and visiting trade partner displays during breaks.
Doors open from 8:45am
Session 1
9:10am - Managing Dysphagia & Nutrition in Clients (Presented by Nestle Health Science)
10:05am - Nutritionally Supporting Memory function in Early Alzheimer’s (Presented by Nutricia)
Morning Break 11am-11:10am with Morning Tea
Session 2
11:15am - Better Bladder Health - Micro Holes, Macro Difference (Presented by Coloplast)
12:05pm - Skin Solutions for the Immobile Patient (Presented by EgoPharm & Kalkoup Clinics)
Lunch break 12:50pm-1:20pm with Lunch
Session 3 [Nurses and Allied Health ONLY]
1:25pm - Pressure injuries versus IAD: Identification and Best Wound Treatment Practises (Presented by Hartmann)
2:30pm - Infection Management (Smith+Nephew)
Ends 3:20pm
Refreshments and networking to 3:45pm
Booking Fee: $15 inc GST whole day or $8 inc GST for a single session (non-refundable)
Refreshments including morning or afternoon tea, water, tea, coffee will be provided. Lunch will also be provided if you are booking for the day.
Location: Surgical House Training Centre 46 King Edward Road, Osborne Park
Free onsite and/or street parking available (no parking in front of retail showroom please)

- You may only book for one person per registration form (to book for multiple people in your team please create a separate booking for each person)
- If you are booking for other people, please provide their name for name badges, allergies and ideally their email so the event ticket is sent to them
- The system will ask you to add all your details again if you book single sessions - this is just the system we apologise for this duplication
