Description

Surrender Into Self is a guided somatic experience designed to help you step out of the patterns that keep taking over and reconnect with your body in a way that actually changes how you respond in real life.

A lot of people who come to this work have already done a fair bit of self-development.
They understand their triggers. They can reflect, analyse, and make sense of their experiences.

But when something real happens, a difficult conversation, emotional pressure, stress,
the same reactions still show up.

That’s because these patterns don’t just live in the mind.
They live in the nervous system, the breath, and the body’s way of protecting itself.

This workshop works directly with that.

What This Experience Includes:

Biodynamic Breathwork
A guided breath process that helps activate and move stored tension in the body. This can bring up emotion, sensation, or insight not through force, but by allowing the body to lead.

Somatic Awareness & Expression
You’ll be supported to notice what’s happening in your body and, where appropriate, give it expression whether through movement, sound, or emotion. This is where patterns begin to shift.

Integrative Sound Journey
We close with a grounded sound experience using instruments and frequencies designed to support integration helping your system settle, process, and absorb the work.

What This Work Is Really About:

This isn’t about pushing for a breakthrough or chasing an intense experience.

It’s about:

  • Creating enough safety in the body to stay present with what’s actually there

  • Building capacity to feel without shutting down or becoming overwhelmed

  • Allowing the body to release tension it no longer needs to hold

  • Developing a different relationship to your internal experience

Over time, this is what changes how you show up in conversations, in relationships, and in the moments that used to take you out.

Who This Is For:

This space tends to resonate with people who:

  • Feel like they’ve “done the work” mentally, but something still isn’t shifting

  • Notice themselves shutting down, overreacting, or pulling away under pressure

  • Feel disconnected from their body or emotions

  • Want a more grounded, body-based way of working with themselves

You don’t need any prior experience, just a willingness to be present with yourself.

What to Expect

This is a guided group experience held in a safe, supported environment.
You will always be encouraged to move at your own pace.

There is no pressure to perform, share, or push beyond your limits.

If you’re ready to move beyond just understanding your patterns
and start working with them where they actually live
this is a powerful place to begin.

Contraindications:

There are some contraindications to participating in this work

The breathwork is not suitable for people under the age of 16, with epilepsy, chronic heart conditions, chronic asthma and anyone pregnant in their first trimester and some mental health imbalances including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder.

"
I loved loved love my breathwork session with El & Mike, They are amazing at what they do. They held space beautifully for all of us, and I felt completely safe to express anything I needed to. The breathwork was incredible. I always feel the most at peace I've ever felt after breathwork, and the closest I feel to my true authentic self. I want to recommend breathwork to everyone, especially this type of breathwork El & Mike teach"

"I could not recommend El & Mike more highly as breathwork facilitators! The session I experienced with them was so much more than breathwork - I shifted so much and released so much through the dynamic nature of the practice. FAQs

  • What is Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System (BBTRS)?

Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System (BBTRS) is a holistic, body-based therapy designed to help release stored tension, stress, and unresolved trauma held in the nervous system and body. It combines conscious breathing with movement, sound, touch, emotional expression, and mindfulness to gently support the body’s natural capacity to heal and self-regulate. Rather than reliving past events, BBTRS works with the body in the present moment, allowing physical and emotional patterns to unwind safely and organically.

  • What happens in a BBTRS group session?

A typical group session may include: Education about the nervous system and stress responses Gentle movement to release physical tension Guided conscious breathing Sound and vocal expression Somatic awareness and emotional processing Time for grounding and integration Each session is different, and you are always encouraged to listen to your body and participate at your own pace.

  • What might I experience during a session?

Everyone’s experience is unique. Some people notice: Deep relaxation and calm Emotional release (such as feeling lighter or clearer) Physical sensations like tingling, warmth, or soft trembling Insights or increased self-awareness You may feel subtle shifts or more noticeable releases — both are normal and valuable. A lot of people report feeling much lighter and reconnected to their body

  • Is BBTRS safe if I have experienced trauma?

Yes. BBTRS is specifically designed to work with trauma in a gentle, body-led way. The approach prioritises nervous system safety, choice, and consent. You are never forced to go beyond your capacity, and the facilitator continuously supports regulation and grounding throughout the session. You are always in control of your experience.

  • How will I feel after the session?

Many people report feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to themselves. Some may feel tired or emotionally open as the nervous system integrates the work. This is a normal part of the healing process. We recommend gentle self-care after the session, such as resting, hydrating, and spending quiet time.

  • How is BBTRS different from other fast, mouth-breathing styles and laying down breathwork??

Some breathwork styles use fast, continuous mouth-breathing to create intense emotional or altered states. While powerful, this can overwhelm the nervous system for some people. BBTRS is trauma-informed and safety-first. It focuses on: Regulating the nervous system, not overstimulating it Gentle, sustainable release rather than emotional overload Working at the body’s natural pace Creating grounded, lasting change — not just peak experiences BBTRS supports deep healing through safety, not intensity.
